Yearning for Geula brings Moshiach faster. When Hashem sees us actively anticipating His kingship, He redeems us immediately. The midrash says this anticipation is the proof we’ll be redeemed. It’s preparation too, because Hashem wants Geula through our efforts. The Chafetz Chaim says we have to demand Moshiach like a hired worker demands his payment. The Chida informs us that even if our only merit is our yearning, that’s a big enough merit to bring the Geula. The Rebbe said we should publicize this Chida everywhere.
