In the Shmoneh Esrei, the main prayer where we lay our deepest needs before G-d, there are 19 blessings. The reality is unmistakable: most of those blessings are consumed with Moshiach and the complete redemption. We beg for the exiles to be gathered back to Israel, for the Sanhedrin to return, for Jerusalem and the Holy Temple to be rebuilt, for G-d to redeem us, for the sacrifices to be reinstated in the holy Temple, and for G-d’s Presence to be restored to Zion. And to make it absolutely clear where our hearts are, we declare 3 times every single day: “Speedily cause the sprouting forth of David Your servant and increase his power with Your salvation, for we hope for Your salvation the whole day.”
